Rosalyn D’Mello is the author of A Handbook for My Lover, a critically acclaimed erotic memoir. She is a widely published freelance art writer based in New Delhi and was the editor-in-chief of Blouin Artinfo India. She writes a weekly feminist column for Midday and a monthly column for Open on her visits to artists’ studios and is a regular contributor to Vogue, Elle, Mint Lounge, OPEN, and First Post, to name a few. Her non-fiction writing is part of several anthologies, including Walking Towards Ourselves: Indian Women Tell Their Stories, published by Harper Collins India in 2016 and Vogue India’s first anthology, Dress: An Anthology celebrating clothes and style, published in 2018. Nominated for Forbes’ Best Emerging Art Writer Award in 2014, she was also shortlisted for the inaugural Prudential Eye Art Award for Best Writing on Asian Contemporary Art in 2014. She was associate editor of The Art Critic, a selection of the art writings of Richard Bartholomew from the 1950s to the early ‘80s, and was a member of the jury of the Prudential Eye Art Award 2015.
